Our Story

We are inspired by the example of Tricklebee Café in Milwaukee, WI.

We are a member of One World Everybody Eats. We depend on the contributions of many groups and volunteers from the community including members of area Moravian churches.


Meet our Cafe Team

Chet, a full-time cook. In addition to graduating from Liberty High where he took Food Services courses, he earned a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Bucks County Community College and graduated from The Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, N.Y. After years of working in corporate settings both in New York City and the Lehigh Valley, he is glad to work at Essentials.


Carol is a life-long resident of the Lehigh Valley. A graduate of Liberty High School, she also took Food Services courses at Vo-Tech. She has worked at Lump's Deli and at FLSmidth in the company cafeteria.
